Father Muhammad, the idols,… they’re idols?
Of course they are. Let’s go for a walk around them.
See? They’re made of wood, right, Zaid? They’re carved by hand, some one made them. Remember the decorative wooden carving of a dove I carved? That’s just an image of the holy spirit, to help us remember that the holy spirit came down as a dove at the baptism of Jesus. See, there’s some doves flying over head right now from the rocks.
But, Father, I know they’re idols, and nothing. But, why do they worship them?
Because they do not want to do as Jesus told us, to love GOD and to love one another.
