Fools

Father Muhammad, what does raina mean?

Something to do with the rainy season, Zaid? Something like that?

I don’t know, Father.

Neither do I.

The Bible describes fools as those who:

  • Reject wisdom and instruction, despising knowledge and guidance.
  • Act impulsively or without understanding, often causing harm to themselves and others.
  • They are proud, lazy, or morally corrupt, finding pleasure in sin or wicked schemes.
  • Trust their own judgment rather than seeking counsel, making their way right in their own eyes.

Lessons and Warnings:

  • Avoid the company of fools to protect your own understanding and spiritual growth.
  • Seek wisdom and instruction, as the fear of the Lord is the foundation of knowledge.
  • Recognise that foolishness can lead to serious consequences, both spiritually and practically.
  • Persistent folly can be corrected only through humility, reflection, and adherence to God’s Word.
