Fools
Father Muhammad, what does raina mean?
Something to do with the rainy season, Zaid? Something like that?
I don’t know, Father.
Neither do I.
The Bible describes fools as those who:
- Reject wisdom and instruction, despising knowledge and guidance.
- Act impulsively or without understanding, often causing harm to themselves and others.
- They are proud, lazy, or morally corrupt, finding pleasure in sin or wicked schemes.
- Trust their own judgment rather than seeking counsel, making their way right in their own eyes.
Lessons and Warnings:
- Avoid the company of fools to protect your own understanding and spiritual growth.
- Seek wisdom and instruction, as the fear of the Lord is the foundation of knowledge.
- Recognise that foolishness can lead to serious consequences, both spiritually and practically.
- Persistent folly can be corrected only through humility, reflection, and adherence to God’s Word.
