Koran 36:13-32

36:13 And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it – 14 When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened [them] with a third, and they said, “Indeed, we are messengers to you.”

15 They said, “You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies.”

16 They said, “Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you, 17 And we are not responsible except for clear notification.”

18 They said, “Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment.”

19 They said, “Your omen [i.e., fate] is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people.”

20 And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, “O my people, follow the messengers. 21 Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided. 22 And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned? 23 Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me? 24 Indeed, I would then be in manifest error. 24 Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me.”

26 It was said, “Enter Paradise.”

He said, “I wish my people could know 27 Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored.”

28 And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.

29 It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

30 How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.

31 Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them – that they to them will not return?

32 And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.

Koran 36:13-32

Muhammad, in his Koran, addresses a sentence, verse, or passage to “Anonymous They”, with “they”, “them”, “he”, “your”, “the people”, and so on, without naming them. For more, read Anonymous They.

Muhammad includes the imperfect words of imperfect others, an interlocutor who is only in Muhammad’s mind, instead of the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. This means that Muhammad’s recitation, Muhammad’s Koran, is not from Allah, which means Allah, Muhammad, Islamic doctrine, Islam, and Koran are incoherent and false.

Muhammad commits shirk with: “We”, “Us” or “Our”, placing Allah as a companion to himself, showing that Allah is incoherent, imaginary, and fictional, and so Islam is incoherent with monotheism, thus Islam is contradictory and false.

Note Muhammad’s inability to name “the people” or even “the city”. Muhammad is also unable to name the two messengers or the third or the “man, running” who is able to give such a perfect speech like Muhammad, after running,…

I’m sure you can name a nearby city, right? So your ability to remember and name a city exceeds that of Allah and Muhammad. Wikipedia has a list of the largest cities – so Wikipedia trivially exceeds the Koran.

So what do the scholars of Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 36:13, have to say?

In the reports that he transmitted from Ibn Abbas, Kab Al-Ahbar and Wahb bin Munabbih – Ibn Ishaq reported that it was the city of Antioch, in which there was a king called Antiochus the son of Antiochus the son of Antiochus, who used to worship idols. Allah sent to him three Messengers, whose names were Sadiq, Saduq and Shalum, and he disbelieved in them.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 36:13

Just like you, the scholars can name the city (but not the people), and with their research (reading Acts in the Bible), they name the three messengers. Obviously, the scholars also exceed the ability of Muhammad and Allah, showing that mere human competence is better than that of Allah and Muhammad. So Allah is incompetent and false, Muhammad is incompetent and false, and Islam and the Koran are false.

The second opinion of the scholars is:

The names of the first two Messengers were Sham`un and Yuhanna, and the name of the third was Bulus, and the city was Antioch (Antakiyah).

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 36:13

That third “Messenger”, Bulus? He’s also known as Paul. You know, the same Paul that many Muslims claim corrupted the Bible, is mentioned here as an honoured Messenger of Allah, who strengthens other messengers of Allah.

So, this story is talking about Christians, followers of Jesus, and their attempts to convert the people of Antioch to Christianity, not Islam. This story seems, initially, to be Muhammad’s really bad rephrasing and summary of Acts 11, 12 & 13 while changing Christianity to Muhammad’s proto-Islam.

But worse, while Muhammad was talking, he (or his scribe) is recording the objections of his tribe:

15 They said, “You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies.”

Excerpt, Koran 36:13-32

Indeed, Muhammad was not but a human being like the man that replies here (probably Pharaoh). They were right that the “Most Merciful” had not revealed anything, as this man had already learned from prior experience that Muhammad was telling lies, as should be obvious.

18 They said, “Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment.”

Excerpt, Koran 36:13-32

Notice the threat to stone Muhammad, obviously as a false prophet, and the threat of a painful punishment for Muhammad’s disobedience to his ruler. And “they” were right, Muhammad was a “bad omen“.

Then Muhammad loses track and interjects with another story: himself talking and lying again.

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
