Koran 19:34-37

19:34 That is Jesus, the son of Mary – the word of truth about which they are in dispute.

35 It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.

36 [Jesus said], “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”

37 Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved – from the scene of a tremendous Day.

Note Muhammad’s denial of Allah having a son with “take a son”:

It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.

Koran 19:35

Yet earlier, in the story of Mary, Muhammad has Gabriel announce to Mary about Jesus:

She said, “My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?”

[The angel] said, “Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”

Koran 3:47

This is a contradiction, showing Muhammad couldn’t remember his earlier verses and differed on crucial details. This shows that the Koran comes from Muhammad and friends, not from “Gabriel” and not from “Allah”. Also, note that the “Be!” command never worked – Mary still had 9 months of pregnancy to get through and labour to bear Jesus as a child.

Note that the translators have to add in “[Jesus said]”. I suggest a better version is: “[Muhammad said]”.

But, Infidel, it was Jesus, the prophet we love less than Muhammad! Here is how Muhammad could have said it better:

Later, Jesus said: “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”

Koran 19:36

See how easy that was?

The “tremendous Day” is Muhammad’s fear-mongering.

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
