9:86 And when a surah was revealed [enjoining them] to believe in Allah and to fight with His Messenger, those of wealth among them asked your permission [to stay back] and said, “Leave us to be with them who sit [at home].”
87 They were satisfied to be with those who stay behind, and their hearts were sealed over, so they do not understand.
Koran 9:86-87
Notice that this passage shows that surah revelation was intended not as a revelation of a divine message for all people but as motivation for making war and for taking loot in battle. This passage also includes an interlocutor’s speech for those that chose to not attend the battle as warriors for Muhammad, as such it can’t come from the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. In fact, this passage shows that Allah is imaginary, the puppet of Muhammad.
Apparently, Muhammad doesn’t understand that his Muslim bandits are motivated not by massacring people for Islam, but by the prospect of looting after the battle. Once they have enough loot, they no longer want to get more, with the attendant risk of being wounded or killed in battle.
This is an evil passage that shows there’s no divine message from Allah for all people. Instead, it’s simply Muhammad creating surah to “inspire” his bandits to kill innocent people for loot. As such, the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
