7:155 And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointment.
And when the earthquake seized them, he said, “My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me [as well]. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is not but Your trial by which You send astray whom You will and guide whom You will. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers. 156 And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You.”
[Allah] said, “My punishment – I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things.”
So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses – 157 Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful.
158 Say, [O Muhammad], “O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.”
So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him that you may be guided.
Koran 7:155-158
Muhammad Allah commands Muhammad to: “Say” or “Recite”. This means that this passage is addressed to Muhammad, not to all people. Thus, this passage can’t be in the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. As it is addressed to Muhammad, in his time and place, his context, this also means that this passage is locked to Muhammad’s context and can’t be in the context-free, perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah with all its perfect words. Thus, this passage is part of Muhammad’s recitation, Muhammad’s Koran, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are incoherent and false, meaning Allah is incoherent, imaginary, fictional, and false.
Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.
Muhammad lied: “[to Allah] belongs”, “Allah created”, “Allah knows”, “dominion”, “Lord over” or “Lord of” “the heavens and the earth”. Obviously, Allah doesn’t create, own, know, have, or have dominion over the heavens and the earth, because our Earth is IN the universe and is always a part of the universe, not separate from the “heavens”. These phrases show that Muhammad was describing what was above, “heavens” and what was below, “earth”, which is a Flat Earth worldview. Thus, Allah is imaginary, fictional, and false, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.
Note that this story by Muhammad of Moses and the 70 men is incomplete. I think Muhammad was interrupted and forgot what happened here. The best match I could find to 70 men in Torah and Bible is NIV Exodus 24:
24 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to worship at a distance,…
9 Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up 10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky. 11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.
NIV Exodus 24
Note that there’s no mention of an earthquake unless it’s a bad translation of “a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.”
Of course, as is natural for Muhammad, the speeches are lies and nonsense, which do not match anything in Exodus.
Muhammad lied: “whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel”, and didn’t think. Where are the book, chapter and verse references? They’re not here in the Koran. To find Muhammad in the Torah and Bible (not Gospel), requires the Torah and Bible to be not corrupted, despite Islamic doctrine claiming they’re corrupted. Worse, Muhammad is not in the Torah or Bible, except as a generic example of a false prophet, a member of a tribe that worships stones, or a false prophet of Baal. This is why I think that the Jews mocked Muhammad, by telling Muhammad he was in their Torah and were pointing to the verse about false prophets.
But far worse for Muslims and Islam, is what the full passage shows when read carefully:
So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses – 157 Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful.
Koran 7:156-157
Allah and Muhammad are the “I” right at the start. The “Messenger” or WORD, refers to Jesus. The “they who have believed in him” are the messianic Jews and Christians, who believe in Jesus. This seems like a pro-Christian polemic inserted by a secret Christian scribe into the Koran, to show it’s false and to promote Christianity.
Also, note that Muhammad is asserting that following Muhammad is good and bad for not following. But the Torah and Bible have written standards of behaviour to follow. Muhammad doesn’t and skips over the Torah and Bible laws, deliberately.
Muhammad lied and didn’t think: “Say, [O Muhammad], “O mankind”. Muhammad commands Muhammad to “Say”, showing Allah is false. Worse, how is Muhammad, the living being to address all mankind? Muhammad could only just barely organise his own bandits to listen to him, and could not even get out of Saudi Arabia to address all mankind.
Muhammad lies: “He gives life and causes death.” Allah never “gives life” as the male’s sperm and female’s egg are already living, not dead, the process of fertilisation is the combination, the fusion, of a living sperm and living egg, which forms the fertilised egg in the woman’s womb. This “causes death” is immediately disproved by Muslims who murder, kill and execute people for Islam. Life never depends upon the imaginary Allah, the dead, broken stone idol.
Muhammad’s lies, deceit, confusion, unfinished sentences and so many missed chapters of the Torah and Bible, show that the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
