Koran 5:87-88

5:87 O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress.

Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.

88 And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good.

And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.

Koran 5:87-88

Muhammad, ad nauseam: “who have believed”. Read, O you who have believed.

Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.

Instead of revealing or reciting this passage in advance, Muhammad created this passage after what some of his companions said in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 5:87-88:

This Ayah 5:87 was revealed about some of the Companions of the Prophet who said, “We should cut off our male organs, abandon the desires of this life and travel in the land, just as the Ruhban (monks) do.”

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 5:87-88

Narrated Abdullah:

We used to participate in the holy battles led by Allah’s Messenger and we had nothing (no wives) with us. So we said, “Shall we get ourselves castrated?”

He forbade us that and then allowed us to marry women with a temporary contract (2) and recited to us: “O you who believe! Make not unlawful the good things which Allah has made lawful for you, but commit no transgression.” Koran 5:87

Sahih al-Bukhari 5075
It’s a cigar cutter. Yes really.

Note that Muhammad is unable to directly forbid his Companions to mutilate their genitals. Surely it would be easy to say: “Don’t cut your genitals!”? But perhaps Muhammad was constrained by the fact that he allowed female genital mutilation? Or was Muhammad constrained by the “Ruhban (monks)” who did mutilate their genitals to free themselves from earthly distractions? Either way, this shows that Muhammad was constrained by other customs that he respected and he couldn’t directly forbid what other religions permitted or forced. This means that Muhammad created Koran, Islam and Allah, thus Islam is false.

Muhammad is confused: “And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good.” According to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 5:87-88, this sentence is in reaction to this strange event that Aisha relates:

…A’ishah said that some of the Companions asked the wives of the Prophet about the acts of worship that he performed in private.

One of them said, “I will not eat meat,” another said, “I will not marry women,” while the third said, “I will not sleep on the bed.”

When the Prophet heard this statement, he said,…

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 5:87-88

By creating this in reaction instead of in advance, Muhammad shows he’s a false prophet. Muhammad should have told his Companions to not swear oaths that forbid normal behaviour, and this would have covered this strangeness. This verse shows that Muhammad created Koran, Allah and Islam, so Islam is false. So the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
