Koran 5:27-31

5:27 And recite to them the story of Adam’s two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other.

Said [the latter], “I will surely kill you.”

Said [the former], “Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him]. 28 If you should raise your hand against me to kill me – I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds. 29 Indeed I want you to obtain [thereby] my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the recompense of wrongdoers.”

30 And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.

31 Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother.

He said, “O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?”

And he became of the regretful.

Koran 5:27-31

This is Muhammad’s poor summary of the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”

13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear.14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Story of Cain and Abel

Note how Muhammad doesn’t even know how to speak the names of “Cain” and “Abel”. Also, note that Muhammad adds in a “crow” as he doesn’t understand the story. Note how the story makes far better sense from Torah and Bible than it does from Muhammad showing that the Torah and Bible are far superior to Muhammad’s verses. This means that Muhammad relies upon Torah and Bible, instead of relying upon Allah, thus showing Allah is incoherent, false, imaginary and fictional, and Islam and Islamic doctrine is incoherent and nonsensical.

Apparently, this bad summary from Muhammad could have come from Targum Jonathan on Genesis 4. Judge for yourself who has the better story, Muhammad or Targum Jonathan.

Muhammad’s bad reading, summary and poor understanding are demonstrated by Muhammad here. Thus the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
