Koran 4:2-4

4:2 And give to the orphans their properties and do not substitute the defective [of your own] for the good [of theirs].

And do not consume their properties into your own.

Indeed, that is ever a great sin.

3 And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four.

But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses.

That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].

4 And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously.

But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease.

Koran 4:2-4

Note that the advice about orphans seems incoherent. Orphan babies and children should have their property looked after, taken care of, improved and expanded upon, as appropriate, as well as being looked after, nurtured, taught and so on. The fact that Muhammad doesn’t go into this, shows he simply couldn’t be bothered to deal with the problem competently. And note that Allah, being imaginary, is no help at all.

According to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 4:2, these verses were revealed after they were needed:

A’ishah said, “A man was taking care of a female orphan and he married her, although he did not desire to marry her. That girl’s money was mixed with his, and he was keeping her portion from her. Afterwards, this Ayah was revealed about his case;

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 4:2

As you can see, this shows that Muhammad is a false prophet, unable to perfectly recite the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an of perfect Allah. This false “revelation” happened AFTER the incident that caused its need, not before.

Muhammad implements polygamy: “marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four.” Note that this contradicts the story of Adam and Eve from Koran 4:1, and shows that Muhammad denies YHWH and God/Jesus, in favour of his own sexual lusts, and uses imaginary Allah to accomplish this. A further disproof is that humans are roughly born 50/50 male and female, indicating that we’re monogamous, 1 man and 1 woman in marriage.

Muhammad approves of slavery: “or those your right hand possesses”. Marry a slave. That’s evil. Note that in the story of Adam and Eve, both Adam and Eve are free and not slaves. Thus, Muhammad’s approval of slaves and marrying slaves is evil and contrary to YHWH and God/Jesus.

But worse, according to some scholars, “marry” here in the translation isn’t “marry” but is actually sexual intercourse with women. Obviously, this is even worse.

Also, note that the sentence about bridal gifts should logically be with the earlier verses of Koran 2:236 about marriages and gifting.

This evil nonsense about polygamy and slavery shouldn’t be here. There’s not enough about the treatment of orphans, how to take care of them and their inherited property. So, the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
