Koran 2:237

And if you divorce them before you have touched them and you have already specified for them an obligation, then [give] half of what you specified – unless they forego the right or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract foregoes it.

And to forego it is nearer to righteousness.

And do not forget graciousness between you.

Indeed Allah, of whatever you do, is Seeing.

Koran 2:237

Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.

Note the spelling error in the translation. The correct spelling is: “forgo” not “forego”. Let’s assume this is just a translation spelling problem.

Note the incorporation of the marriage contract, which comes from Judaism. That’s why we know it’s from Judaism and not just from other cultures. Also notice that there’s no input from the woman at all.

Note that this verse by Muhammad is a clumsy summary of Jewish customs about bridal price, dowry and marriage contracts. Muhammad even uses related words to confirm this. When it’s summarised as badly as this, you know Muhammad isn’t guided by Allah but is instead restating and badly summarising Torah. So the best replacement for this verse is: “”, the empty sentence.
