There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord [during Hajj].
But when you depart from ‘Arafat, remember Allah at al- Mash’ar al-Haram.
And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray.
Koran 2:198
We can easily simplify this verse to “It’s permissible to trade during the Hajj.” This by itself shows Muhammad is a false prophet.
But, Infidel, this verse is about the bounty that comes from robbing innocent caravan trains! Well, if you must refuse my improvement of Muhammad’s evil commands,…
There’s also a hadith that references this passage, showing it’s after the fact “revelation” and thus false:
Ukaz, Majanna and Dhul-Majaz were marketplaces in the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance. When Islam came, Muslims felt that marketing there might be a sin. So, the Divine Inspiration came: “There is no harm for you to seek the bounty of your Lord (in the seasons of Hajj).” (2:198) Ibn Abbas recited the Verse in this way.
Sahih al-Bukhari 2050
Note that “bounty of your Lord” now seems to mean buying and selling at a marketplace, trading. It’s obvious that Muhammad didn’t know the right words to use here. Also, note that the scholars seemed to have missed this reference.
Note that this verse is from Muhammad’s context, and it’s exposed by the scholars of Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:198:
A man came to the Prophet and asked him about what you asked me, and the Prophet did not answer him until Jibril came down with this Ayah [verse]…
Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:198
But perhaps you don’t accept Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:198’s opinion on this, then will you accept Muhammad’s word? See: “…you were before that among those astray.” Muhammad is talking to the bandits of his time and place, his context, from those outcasts from the Quraysh, the pagan tribe that he was outcast from too. Muhammad isn’t speaking for all times and places. Allah doesn’t correct Muhammad. Thus Muhammad is a false prophet, for an imaginary god.
A false prophet, whose verse doesn’t come until after the situation, thus showing that Muhammad is simply creating the verse to deal with the situation. A true prophet with a real god would have revealed this verse before the situation came up. Muhammad wasn’t even smart enough to realise that this would happen in advance, and get prepared and utter this verse ahead of time to amaze his Muslim bandits. Pathetic. Thus the best replacement for this verse is: “”, the empty sentence.
