Koran 2:186

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near.

I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.

So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

Note that this is for Muhammad’s context, his time and place: “…ask you, [O Muhammad]…”. Why does Allah need “servants”? Allah is perfect and has no need for servants. Surely, Allah has an infinite multitude of angels to serve him? Perhaps Muhammad meant “believers”? You’re a Muslim, one who submits to or perhaps believes in Muhammad Allah. Do you also serve Muhammad Allah? I doubt it, as Muhammad and Allah don’t need anything as both are dead. So perhaps you can invoke Allah to do something? I won’t hold my breath as this verse shows it was created by Muhammad, not Allah.

If we check with the Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:186, we see that this verse was “revealed” to Muhammad after he discovered that his Muslim bandits were being too noisy in battle, shouting: “Allah is the Most Great!”. This verse is actually about telling Muslim bandits to be quiet while they are attempting to ambush innocent people. It does a bad job of this and is simply confusing to innocent people trapped in evil Islam. Thus the best replacement for this verse is: “”, the empty sentence.
