2:139 Say, [O Muhammad], “Do you argue with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere [in deed and intention] to Him.”
140 Or do you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants were Jews or Christians?
Say, “Are you more knowing or is Allah?”
And who is more unjust than one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah?
And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
141 That is a nation which has passed on.
It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned.
And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
Koran 2:139-141
Muhammad Allah commands Muhammad to: “Say” or “Recite”. This means that this passage is addressed to Muhammad, not to all people. Thus, this passage can’t be in the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. As it is addressed to Muhammad, in his time and place, his context, this also means that this passage is locked to Muhammad’s context and can’t be in the context-free, perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah with all its perfect words. Thus, this passage is part of Muhammad’s recitation, Muhammad’s Koran, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are incoherent and false, meaning Allah is incoherent, imaginary, fictional, and false.
Note that Muhammad repeats his ignorant lie from earlier, Koran 2:134:
That is a nation which has passed on.
Koran 2:134
Repeating a lie doesn’t make it true. Instead, it shows that Muhammad is ignorant and not informed by an omniscient god. Muhammad is defeated by his own ignorance of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Also note Allah’s impotence in correcting the Jews and Christians and others who don’t believe in Muhammad’s imaginary god, Allah. Instead, Muhammad is relying upon his bad understanding of Genesis, against Jews and Christians who have read Genesis and knew far more about Jacob/Israel.
Note that this passage is essentially Muhammad practicing his bad arguments against Jews and Christians, while not bothering to check with the sources. Most likely Muhammad had to rely upon memory and what his uncle Waraqa had translated before dying.
Muhammad’s rehearsing and parroting is exposed here. So the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
