Muhammad – Poet?

No. Muhammad repeatedly denies this in his Koran. I believe Muhammad in this aspect as he was a plagiarist, instead of a poet. If you believe the Koran is the perfect word of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah, why are the insults from the Quraysh and others recorded here in Muhammad’s recitation, Muhammad’s Koran?

But they say, “[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles].”

Koran 21:5

And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them.

Koran 26:224

36:69 And We did not give him knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him.

It is not but a message and a clear Qur’ān 70 To warn whoever is alive and justify the word [i.e., decree] against the disbelievers.

Koran 36:69-70

And were saying, “Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?”

Koran 37:36

Or do they say [of you], “A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?”

Koran 52:30

And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

Ah, denial is a river that runs deeply through Muhammad.
