What does “taghut” in the Koran mean?
2:256 There shall be no compulsion in the religion.
The right course has become distinct from the wrong.
So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it.
And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
257 Allāh is the Ally of those who believe.
He brings them out from darknesses into the light.
And those who disbelieve – their allies are ṭāghūt.
They take them out of the light into darknesses.
Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
Koran 2:256-257
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in jibt and ṭāghūt and say about the disbelievers, “These are better guided than the believers as to the way”?
Koran 4:51
The word “jibt” is only here in this verse. It’s also not translated.
Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, and what was revealed before you?
They wish to refer legislation to ṭāghūt, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray.
Koran 4:60
Those who believe fight in the cause of Allāh, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of ṭāghūt.
So fight against the allies of Satan.
Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.
Koran 4:76
Say, “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allāh? those whom Allāh has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of ṭāghūt. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.”
Koran 5:60
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, “Worship Allāh and avoid ṭāghūt.”
And among them were those whom Allāh guided, and among them were those upon whom error was decreed.
So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.
Koran 16:36
But those who have avoided ṭāghūt, lest they worship it, and turned back to Allāh – for them are good tidings. So give good tidings to My servants
Koran 39:17
The word “taghut”, which can’t be translated, shows that the Koran is not in clear Arabic. Thus, Muhammad was a false prophet, for an idol, Allah. Islam is false. Leave Islam, Muslims.
