Koran – Gospel

What does the Koran, Muhammad’s words, say about the Gospel?

3:3 He has sent down upon you, [O Muḥammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it.

And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel 4 Before, as guidance for the people.

And He revealed the Criterion [i.e., the Qur’ān].

Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allāh will have a severe punishment, and Allāh is Exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.

Koran 3:3-4

Notice the third revelation of the “Criterion” which the translators claim to be “[i.e., the Qur’ān]”. Who is this revelation to? If it’s to Muhammad, then Muhammad is repeating and contradicting himself, so showing Allah, Jibril and Muhammad are incoherent and nonsensical.

Here, the “angel” speaks to Mary about Allah teaching Jesus:

And He will teach him writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel

Koran 3:48

The “wisdom” likely refers to the Talmud, a collection of books written by Jewish rabbis.

Here, “People of the Scripture” refers to Jews and Christians, not Muslims.

O People of the Scripture, why do you argue about Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him?

Then will you not reason?

Koran 3:65

This shows that Muslims do not have a scripture, there’s no Qur’an. The Koran is simply the written words of Muhammad and friends.

Here Muhammad tells the “People of the Gospel”, Christians, to judge by the Gospel:

5:46 And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

47 And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allāh has revealed therein.

And whoever does not judge by what Allāh has revealed – then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.

Koran 5:46-47

Christians do judge by the Gospel.

Jibril and Muhammad whine to himself:

5:65 And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allāh, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure.

66 And if only they had upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord [i.e., the Qur’ān], they would have consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet.

Among them are a moderate [i.e., acceptable] community, but many of them – evil is that which they do.

Koran 5:65-66

None of the “People of the Scripture” have received revelation from Allah as Muhammad is the first Muslim. Also, Allah doesn’t provide anything to people from above or below.

Muhammad doubles down, claiming to speak to “People of the Scripture”:

Say, “O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord [i.e., the Qur’ān].”

And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief.

So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

Koran 5:68

Of course, Muhammad wasn’t of the “People of the Scripture” – he wasn’t a Jew or a Christian, didn’t speak their languages, and was an obvious false prophet for an idol, as the Jews mocked Muhammad and Allah earlier:

And the Jews say, “The hand of Allāh is chained.”

Excerpt, Koran 5:64

This shows that the Jews (and the Christians) never worshipped Allah, that Allah is an idol, that Muhammad was a liar and a false prophet, and the Koran isn’t the Qur’an and isn’t the Book.

[The Day] when Allāh will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit [i.e., the angel Gabriel] and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind [from birth] and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, “This is not but obvious magic.”

Koran 5:110

Muhammad has Allah quoting the people of his tribe saying “This is not but obvious magic.” This shows Muhammad was a liar, a false prophet of an idol, Allah.

Muhammad (accidentally) tells the truth:

Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written [i.e., described] in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and prohibits them from what is wrong and makes lawful for them what is good and forbids them from what is evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them.

So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful.

Koran 7:157

This is about Jesus in the Torah and the Gospel which is what “they” the Christians have. Notice there’s nothing about the Koran. Is Muhammad written in the Koran? No (except for the smallest of details).

But, Infidel, it’s about Muhammad?! Jesus frees from “burden” and “shackles”, eliminating slavery (considered “good” in Islam). And worse for Islam and Muslims, Christians are the “successful”.

Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves.

You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] pleasure.

Their sign is in their faces from the effect of prostration [i.e., prayer].

That is their description in the Torah.

And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that He [i.e., Allāh] may enrage by them the disbelievers.

Allāh has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.

Koran 48:29

Muhammad copies badly from “The Parable of the Growing Seed”, NIV Mark 4:26-29. The Torah and Gospel do not describe Muslims except as the pagan servants of the moon god/idol.

Muhammad talks about Christians and Christian monks:

Then We sent following their footsteps [i.e., traditions] Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel.

And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated;

We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allāh.

But they did not observe it with due observance.

So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

Koran 57:27

Muhammad lies to his believers, his Muslims:

Indeed, Allāh has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.

They fight in the cause of Allāh, so they kill and are killed.

[It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’ān.

And who is truer to his covenant than Allāh?

So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted.

And it is that which is the great attainment.

Koran 9:111

Muhammad and his Muslims do not enjoy Paradise. They’re all dust in the desert or in Hell. There’s no “true promise” in the Torah, Gospel or even in the imaginary Qur’an. These words are only in Muhammad’s Koran.

Hadith – Gospel

Did Muhammad have access to the Gospel? According to several hadith, his uncle Waraqa had the “Injil”, Testament, Gospel or Bible:

Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin ‘Abdul ‘Uzza, who, during the pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3

Khadija then took him to Waraqa bin Naufil, the son of Khadija’s paternal uncle. Waraqa had been converted to Christianity in the Pre-lslamic Period and used to write Arabic and write of the Gospel in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4953

Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle, i.e., her father’s brother, who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.

Sahih al-Bukhari 6982

Khadija then took him to Waraqa b. Naufal b. Asad b. ‘Abd al-‘Uzza, and he was the son of Khadija’s uncle, i. e., the brother of her father. And he was the man who had embraced Christianity in the Days of Ignorance (i. e. before Islam) and he used to write books in Arabic and, therefore, wrote Injil in Arabic as God willed that he should write. He was very old and had become blind

Sahih Muslim 160a

The Muslim apologist’s claim that the Bible or Injil has been lost or corrupted is refuted by the hadith above.

Notice in all four hadith the phrases:

  • “He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write.”
  • “write Arabic and write of the Gospel in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write.”
  • “write the Arabic writing and … the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write.”
  • “wrote Injil in Arabic as God willed that he should write.”

Was Waraqa a prophet of Allah? He’s not credited as such, except here. This is likely done to hide that Waraqa was writing and translating the Injil, Gospel and Bible to Arabic with Muhammad’s help. This shows that Muhammad wasn’t a prophet but a poor copier of the Bible and other works.
