Islam – Crucifixion

In Islam, many Muslims believe that Jesus was NOT crucified on the cross. They get this belief from the Koran:

4:157 And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh.”

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them.

And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it.

They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption.

And they did not kill him, for certain.

158 Rather, Allāh raised him to Himself.

And ever is Allāh Exalted in Might and Wise.

Koran 4:157-158; Refutation Koran 4:155-159

This seems cut and dried to the casual reader, except there are some problems. Who was Muhammad talking to?

Muhammad talking to the Jews

“bring down to them a book from the heaven”

First, the previous passage indicates that Muhammad is in conversation with the Jews of his time:

4:153 The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven.

But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, “Show us Allāh outright,” so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing.

Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that.

And We gave Moses a clear authority.

154 And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, “Enter the gate bowing humbly”;

and We said to them, “Do not transgress on the sabbath”;

and We took from them a solemn covenant.

Koran 4:153-154; Refutation Koran 4:153-154

Notice that Muhammad calls the Jews “People of the Scripture” – he can’t get their name right. Muhammad was unable to fulfil their request to see the Book from Heaven that Muhammad claims to have seen (and not read):

The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven.

Excerpt, Koran 4:153-154

Notice “the heaven” – this contradicts Muhammad’s 7 + 1 heavens.

What did Moses show to the Israelites who later became the Jews? Something like this:

Movie impression of Moses with the Decalogue.

Notice the two tablets of stone with Decalogue, the 10 commandments from GOD with Moses.

Compare again with what Muhammad saw in the hadith and in the biography:

“He came to me,” said the apostle of God, “while I was asleep, with a coverlet of brocade whereon was some writing, and said, ‘Read!'”

Guillaume – Life of Muhammad

What does the coverlet of brocade with “some writing” look like? Something like this:

Torah scrolls.

Notice that Muhammad admits to being asleep, and then sees one of these Torah scroll covers, and then the demon Jibril tries and fails, three times, to force Muhammad to read. In other words, the “Qur’an”, the words of Allah, are an item in a dream (or nightmare). Muhammad couldn’t read it – the writing was in a foreign language, Hebrew, to Muhammad. Then the demon commands Muhammad to READ (or recite):

96:1 Recite in the name of your Lord who created – 2 Created man from a clinging substance.

3 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous – 4 Who taught by the pen – 5 Taught man that which he knew not.

Koran 96:1-5; Refutation Koran 96:1-5

Muhammad obeys, thus inviting the demon to possess him, which it promptly does. Of course, all of this is nonsense. The demon demands “Recite”, showing it’s not from Allah. And notice that the “Name” of the Lord is missing? It’s YHWH. You’re welcome, Muhammad. Also, we’re not created from “a clinging substance”. Then there’s “Recite” again in verse 3, and Muhammad/Jibril claims that Allah is the “most Generous” – in what? The idol, Allah, gives nothing. Then in verse 4, there’s “taught” – Allah, an idol, teaching? And “by the pen” – Allah hasn’t “taught” anyone by the “pen”. Verse 5 again claims Allah “taught” a man (who?) – yet nothing comes from Allah. Remember the “Recite”, twice? Allah can’t teach reading, which doesn’t involve a pen.

So why these references to “Recite” (which needs a written source), “taught”, “by the pen”, “man” and “that which he knew not”? This is actually about Muhammad and Waraqa as the “man” and “your Lord” AKA Allah, respectively. How can I tell this? Muhammad the “man” is created from the “clinging substance”, the male “issue” of “your Lord”, Waraqa. The woman doesn’t matter to Waraqa and Muhammad, but she’s Amina, who shows that Waraqa is the father of Muhammad:

the vision my mother saw when she gave birth to me and a light issued to her from which the castles of Syria shone for her

Excerpt, Mishkat al-Masabih 5759, 5760

Waraqa came from the castles of Damascus, Syria, probably from Bosra, a man of some importance there to reside in a castle (or he was boasting to Amina to seduce her). Why a light? Because Waraqa was a gnostic, and this stuck with Amina. So, she showed Waraqa that Muhammad was his son, while also concealing that Muhammad was illegitimate, not from his dead father. According to the hadith, Waraqa was a scribe who had a copy of the Injil:

Waraqa had been converted to Christianity in the pre-Islamic period and used to write Arabic and write of the Gospel in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight.

Excerpt, Sahih al-Bukhari 4953

The Muslims got “Christianity” wrong. Waraqa was a gnostic, as the “light” from Amina shows. That “Gospel” is “Injil” in Arabic – the Injil is the Testament, the New Testament, the Bible. The hadith shows that Waraqa was translating from his native language to Arabic. Waraqa “had lost his eyesight” – he was blind, likely from cataracts due to uncontrolled diabetes. This means that he couldn’t write by himself. But he could teach Muhammad to write, and so he did. Here’s the passage again:

96:1 Recite in the name of your Lord who created – 2 Created man from a clinging substance.

3 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous – 4 Who taught by the pen – 5 Taught man that which he knew not.

Koran 96:1-5

And here it is again with the explanations:

96:1 Recite [Declare] in the name of your Lord [Waraqa AKA Allah] who created [sired] – 2 Created [sired] man [Muhammad] from a clinging substance [the male issue into Amina].

3 Recite [Declare], and your Lord [Waraqa AKA Allah] is the most Generous [teaching Muhammad] – 4 Who taught by the pen [how to be read, write and scribe like Waraqa] – 5 Taught man [Muhammad] that which he [Muhammad] knew not.

Explained, Koran 96:1-5

As you can see, it’s clearly Muhammad thanking Waraqa, acknowledging his teaching and declaring his allegiance not to his tribe, but to the Syrian man Waraqa. This is confirmed by “Our Fathers” in Muhammad’s Koran. This is Muhammad’s declaration of rebellion against his tribe; he’s become a rebel against his tribe, not a prophet or messenger. He’s corrupting the land and is revolting.

So to summarise, the Jews asked:

“The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven.”

Excerpt, Koran 4:153-154

Muhammad ranted and raged. Then the Jews mocked Muhammad and Jesus:

And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh.”

Excerpt, Koran 4:157-158

This shows that Muhammad is “replying” to Jews who are mocking him. Then Muhammad agrees with the crucifixion.

But, Muhammad, Islam states that Jesus was replaced and didn’t die!!! This comes from:

4:157 …

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but […] was made to resemble him to them.

And they did not kill him, for certain.

158 Rather, Allāh raised him to Himself.

And ever is Allāh Exalted in Might and Wise.

Koran 4:157-158; Refutation Koran 4:155-159

With the translator addition “[another]” removed:

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but was made to resemble him to them.

Excerpt, Koran 4:157-158; Refutation Koran 4:155-159

And substituting the word for word for “shubbiha” after “but” and before “to them”, there’s:

And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear (so) to them.

Excerpt, Koran 4:157-158; Refutation Koran 4:155-159

The apparent substitution of Jesus is removed, and instead, Muhammad was talking about the situation being changed. Now we know from the Bible that it was Pilate who ordered the crucifixion of Jesus, and he was crucified, not by the Jews, but by the Romans:

Jesus crucified by the Romans (to the right).

Thus, the Koran confirms Christianity that Jesus was crucified, not by the Jews (as the Jews of Muhammad’s time mocked Muhammad), but by the Romans.

But, Infidel, there’s no resurrection! Oh, but there is:

And they did not kill him, for certain.

158 Rather, Allāh raised him to Himself.

Excerpt, Koran 4:157-158; Refutation Koran 4:155-159

Notice that “Allah raised him”? That’s the resurrection from the dead (Jesus died), to Jesus being alive (with “Allah”). Now remember, Muhammad spoke this orally, and this was recorded in his proto-Koran in his time, as above. Muhammad later died, rotted, and became dust in the desert:

Muhammad’s dust over sand dunes in the desert.

Nowhere in the Koran or in the hadith (as far as I know) is Muhammad raised from the dead. Instead, he dies like all the prophets, like all men. Indeed, in the hadith, it’s mentioned that Muhammad’s men waited for three days for Muhammad to rise from the dead like Jesus. Nothing happened. Muhammad’s corpse rotted, and so he was buried. He ended like all mere men do.

Muslim graves

Thus, the Koran and the hadith agree that Jesus was crucified, died on the cross and later rose from the dead to be with “Allah” or rather GOD. This shows that Muhammad tried to unify GOD with Allah, Christianity with Islam, and Jesus with himself, trying to make himself, Muhammad, as son of Allah.

Muhammad was a false prophet, for a false god, Allah, for a false religion, Islam, without even a false book, the Koran.
