How Sunnah.com changes hadith translation of “idol” and “statue” into “image” to hide the fact that Muhammad worshipped idols while supposedly a monotheist.
Note that Sunnah.com has no problem showing “idol” when it’s clear that Muhammad opposes them:
Narrated Abdullah bin Masud:
The Prophet entered Mecca and (at that time) there were three hundred-and-sixty idols around the Ka`ba. He started stabbing the idols with a stick he had in his hand and reciting: “Truth (Islam) has come and Falsehood (disbelief) has vanished.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 2478
This hadith shows that it was normal for Muhammad to worship idols:
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:
I heard the Prophet describing the period of pause of the Divine Inspiration. He said in his talk, “While I was walking, I heard voices from the sky. I looked up, and behold ! I saw the same Angel who came to me in the cave of Hira’ sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I was too much afraid of him (so I returned to my house) and said, ‘Fold me up in garments!’ They wrapped me up. Then Allah revealed: ‘O you wrapped…and desert the idols before the prayer became compulsory.’ Rujz means idols.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4925
What do images do to angels? Nothing. Read:

Narrated ‘Aishah:
that Jibril came to the Prophet with her image upon a piece of green silk cloth, and he said: “This is your wife in the world, and in the Hereafter.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3880
From this hadith you can see that the translators switched to using “image” instead of “statue” or “idol” – read:
Abu Huraira said God’s messenger told that Gabriel came to him and said, “I came to you last night and was prevented from entering simply by the fact that there were images at the door, for there was a figured curtain with images on it and there was a dog in the house. So order that the head of the image which is at the door of the house be cut off so that it may become like the form of a tree; order that the curtain be cut up and made into two cushions spread out on which people may tread; and order that the dog be put out.”
God’s messenger then did so.
Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Mishkat al-Masabih 4501
Here’s how it reads when “idol” is used, correctly:
Abu Huraira said God’s messenger told that Gabriel came to him and said, “I came to you last night and was prevented from entering simply by the fact that there were IDOLS at the door, for there was a figured curtain with images on it and there was a dog in the house. So order that the head of the IDOL which is at the door of the house be cut off so that it may become like the form of a tree; order that the curtain be cut up and made into two cushions spread out on which people may tread; and order that the dog be put out.”
God’s messenger then did so.
Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
“idol”, Mishkat al-Masabih 4501
Why did Muhammad have idols in his house as a monotheist?

This hadith further confirms the recent changes:
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas:
I heard Abu Talhah saying:
I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: “The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an object of images.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2804
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
Jibril, peace be upon him, asked permission to enter upon the Prophet and he said: “Come in.”
He said: ‘How can I come in when there is a curtain in your house on which there are images? You should either cut off their heads or make it into a rug to be stepped on, for we Angels do not enter a house in which there are images.”
Sunan an-Nasa’i 5365
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah said:
Jibra’il came to me and said: “Indeed I had come to you last night, and nothing prevented me from entering upon you at the house you were in, except that there were images of men at the door of the house, and there was a curtain screen with imagines on it, and there was a dog in the house. So go and sever the head of the image that is at the door so that it will become like a tree stump, and go and cut the screen and make two throw-cushions to be sat upon, and go and expel the dog.”
So the Messenger of Allah did so, and the dog was a puppy belonging to Al-Husain or Al-Hasan which was under his belongings, so he ordered him to expel it.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2806
What’s an “object of images”? It’s not a picture book or a television. It’s a statue, an image, as an object.

Notice how the makers have to breathe life like Allah supposedly breathed life into Adam (a statue):
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: “Whoever makes an image will be punished until (he is commanded) to breathe a soul into it, and he will not be able to do so.”
Sunan an-Nasa’i 5359
It was narrated from ‘Aishah, the wife of the Prophet, that:
The Messenger of Allah said: “The makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: ‘Bring to life that which you have created.'”
Sunan an-Nasa’i 5362
Perhaps it’s an honest error?

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When any of you fights he must avoid the face, for God created Adam in His own image.”
Mishkat al-Masabih 3525
Of course, it’s not all the time:

Narrated `Aisha:
I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Messenger used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me.
(The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13)
Sahih al-Bukhari 6130
What’s really important is that when “statue” is searched for, sunnah.com returns results for “status”. This indicates that the search engine has been modified, to protect the altered translations.
Corruption, thy name is Islam.

Muhammad was a false prophet, for a false god, Allah, for a false religion, Islam, without even a false book, the Koran.
