Allah’s Light?

What is “Allah’s Light”? According to one verse in Muhammad’s Koran, this is referring, not to Allah shining brightly at night:

Allah shining brightly

“Allah’s Light” is mentioned in Koran 4:174-175 which is:

We have sent down to you a clear light.

Koran 4:174-175

The associated tafsir Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 4:174, explains as:

Ibn Jurayj and others said, “It is the Qur’an.”

Tafsir Ibn Kathir 4:174

Later there’s this sentence.

There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.

Koran 5:15-16

Note the incoherence here, as Muhammad’s recitation was still being recited by Muhammad and friends and isn’t a “light” or a “clear book” at all. Worse, this is contradicted by Muhammad later in Koran 5:41-44 with:

Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light.

Koran 5:41-44

The Torah wasn’t sent down by Allah or by Muhammad. But there is guidance and light within it, for the people of that time and even now.

…We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

Koran 5:46-47

The Gospel wasn’t sent or given to Jesus. But there is guidance and light within the Bible, to the people of that time and even now.

Say, “Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people?”

Koran 6:91-92

Again, Muhammad admits that the Torah is “light” and “guidance” in his rhetorical question.

Koran

Simply observe a Koran at night, in a dark room, and you’ll notice that you can’t see by its “light”.

But, Infidel, it means that Muhammad’s Koran is a light to all in METAPHOR! Muhammad’s Koran?

But, but, Infidel, it means Allah’s Koran! Who is “We” in “We have sent down to you a clear light.”?

But, but, but, Infidel, it’s royal “We”! Uh-huh, and try posting an illuminating verse from the Koran that isn’t nonsense and lies.

And recall, when these verses were recited, Muhammad literally didn’t have a “book” at all.

When we compare the Koran to the Torah and the Bible, the Torah and Bible are massively better, more coherent, well structured, and filled with guidance and light.

Allah’s light has another meaning as well, which is more esoteric and far less well-known.

Allah’s Light in the Face of Muhammad

Shining

This comes from Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 9:118

Ka`b added, “When I greeted Allah’s Messenger, his face was bright with joy.”

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 9:118

Whenever Allah’s Messenger became happy, his face would shine as if it was a piece of the moon, and we all knew that characteristic of him.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 9:118

I saw the face of the Messenger glistening, like gold (on account of joy).

Excerpt, Sahih Muslim 1017a

I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah shining like gold (with joy).

Excerpt, Sunan an-Nasa’i 2554

And I saw the Prophet with his face shining.

Excerpt, Sunan Ibn Majah 1981

One day the Prophet came to me overjoyed, his face shining (from happiness)

Excerpt, Bulugh al-Maram 1432

I noticed that the face of Messenger of Allah was glowing like that of the bright moon or glittering gold.

Excerpt, Riyad as-Salihin 171

A man asked Al-Bara: “Was the face of the Messenger of Allah like a sword?”

He said: “No, like the moon.”

Vol. 1, Book 46, Hadith 3636

Note the allusion to the Moon with “a piece of the moon”, indicating to the men that Muhammad’s face was like shining like the moon (and NOT like the Sun). This is also in the Koran:

33:45 O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner 46 And one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.

Koran 33:45-46

As you can see, Muhammad is an “illuminating lamp”. What does this look like? Something like this stained glass:

Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus
Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist

In practice, you may have seen this as well. You can see it in the face of someone who really loves you a lot. You might be able to do this as well if you love someone else a lot. Seeing a halo in real life is rare and being able to do it yourself is rarer and consciously doing a halo is extremely rare. This effect is not capable of being photographed, as it’s a psychological process involving eye dilation between lovers.

The fact that Muhammad doesn’t know he does this, but his men do, shows that for him, it’s an unconscious process. Muhammad is driven by his emotions and can’t control himself. Muhammad loves deeply and hates deeply too, and this is intensified in maniac phases and depressed in depressed phases. Here’s an artist’s impression of the halo effect, like divine fire:

Medieval Persian manuscript – Muhammad leads Abraham, Moses and Jesus in prayer

Muhammad was a false prophet, for a false god, Allah, for a false religion, Islam, without even a false book, the Koran.
