Koran 96:6-19

96:6 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 7 Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

8 Indeed, to your Lord is the return.

9 Have you seen the one who forbids 10 A servant when he prays?

11 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 12 Or enjoins righteousness?

13 Have you seen if he denies and turns away – 14 Does he not know that Allah sees?

15 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock (It may also mean “slap him” or “blacken his face at the forelock.”) 16 A lying, sinning forelock.

17 Then let him call his associates; 18 We will call the angels of Hell (Those who push the wicked into the Fire.).

19 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].

Koran 96:6-19

Muhammad claims: “man transgresses”, yet is unable to show what is transgressed, or where humans (not just the sexist “man”) are informed of this transgression.

But, infidel, the Koran is this information on man’s transgression! But it’s in Classical Arabic, and thus is local to Muhammad, thus showing Allah, Islam, Koran and Muhammad are all false.

But, Infidel, the Koran can be translated! But not by impotent and imaginary Allah, only by Muslims, and certainly not delivered by messengers, angels, from upon high to all humans, thus making Muhammad redundant. Koran comes from Muslims, who claim the Koran comes from Muhammad (despite writing it themselves), who claim the Koran comes from Jibril (despite being unable to read), who claims the Koran comes from Allah, thus showing the incompetence of Allah, Jibril and Muhammad.

Muhammad claims: “Because he sees himself self-sufficient.” But it’s good to be self-sufficient, to be independent instead of dependent. Muhammad, himself, in his Koran, advises about testing orphans and the “weak-minded” to make sure they are competent, and so INDEPENDENT before giving them their property and allowing them to be INDEPENDENT:

And give to the orphans their properties and do not substitute the defective [of your own] for the good [of theirs]. And do not consume their properties into your own. Indeed, that is ever a great sin.

Koran 4:2

For more, see Koran 4:2-4.

4:5 And do not give the weak-minded your property, which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you, but provide for them with it and clothe them and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.

6 And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor – let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

Koran 4:5-6

For more, see Koran 4:5-6

And do not approach the orphan’s property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember.

Koran 6:152

And let’s not forget that Muhammad commands Muslims to care for aged parents who are no longer able to care for themselves, parents who no longer can be independent, but are dependent upon their children for support.

Or is this all abrogated now by this chapter? So Muslim men have to be dependent upon their mothers all their lives, stay home, and be under their mothers’ care? Obviously, this is nonsensical, not backed up by the history of Islam and shows Muhammad wasn’t thinking. He wanted his Muslim men to be dependent upon him and not independent.

Notice the rhetorical questions in this verse rely upon the hearer knowing Muhammad’s context, in Mecca AKA Petra. As someone entirely ignorant of Muhammad’s context, like most of Earth’s population, our answers are all “No!” to Muhammad’s rhetoric. And so it should be to Islam, “No!” as Muhammad shows here that the Koran, Allah, and Islam are local to himself, so not a global religion.

Verses 9-19 are about Abu Jahl, a man who scolded Muhammad for praying at the Kaaba, in Petra. The story is quite long in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 96:6, so I didn’t bother to repeat it here. Naturally, 3/4 of one chapter that is devoted to one man of Muhammad’s time and place, his context, shows Muhammad’s Koran is local to Muhammad and so is not from Allah via Jibril, thus Allah, Islam, Koran and Muhammad are false.

Interestingly, Koran 96:15-16 in the Sahih International translation is:

96:15 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock (It may also mean “slap him” or “blacken his face at the forelock.”) 16 A lying, sinning forelock.

Koran 96:15-16

The scholars of Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 96:6 have a different translation:

96:15 Nay! If he ceases not, We will scorch his forehead.

16 A lying, sinful forehead!

Koran 96:15-16

Where “scorch” means “indeed We will make it extremely black on the Day of Judgement.” For more, see Face Painting? Obviously “scorch” or “drag” is a problem in the translation, showing Allah is false.

To confirm that Muhammad is most likely talking about the forelock, there’s this hadith:

Amr b. Shu’aib on his father’s authority said that his grandfather (Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As) reported the Prophet said:

If one of you marries a woman or buys a slave, he should say: “O Allah, I ask You for the good in her, and in the disposition You have given her; I take refuge in You from the evil in her, and in the disposition You have given her.”

When he buys a camel, he should take hold of the top of its hump and say the same kind of thing.

Abu Dawud said: Abu Sa’id added the following words in his version: He should then tale hold of her forelock and pray for blessing in the case of a woman or a slave.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2160

If anyone raises and lowers his head before the imam, his forelock is in the devil’s hand.

Mishkat al-Masabih 1149

It was narrated that Aishah said:

“I used to part the hair of the Messenger of Allah behind his crown, and let his forelock hang down.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 3633

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that:

The Prophet said:

The slain will bring his killer on the Day of Resurrection with his forelock and his head in his hand, and with his jugular veins flowing with blood, and will say: “O Lord, he killed me,” until he draws near to the Throne.

They mentioned repentance to Ibn Abbas and he recited this Verse: “And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell”

He said: “It has not been abrogated since it was revealed; there is no way he could repent.”

Sunan an-Nasa’i 4005

Ali reported that God’s messenger used to say when he lay down, “O God, I seek refuge in Thy noble Person and in Thy perfect words from the evil of what Thou seizest by its forelock; O God, Thou removest debt and sin; O God, Thy troop is not routed, Thy promise is not broken, and the riches of the rich do not avail against Thee. Glory and praise be unto Thee.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 2403

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
