Muhammad’s rant, part 4 of 5.
37:50 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
51 A speaker among them will say, “Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]. 52 Who would say, ‘Are you indeed of those who believe 53 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'”
54 He will say, “Would you [care to] look?”
55 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
56 He will say, “By Allah, you almost ruined me. 57 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 58 Then, are we not to die 59 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?”
60 Indeed, this is the great attainment.
61 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
Koran 37:50-61
Notice that Muhammad is unable to name this early Muslim believer in Muhammad. Worse, Muhammad is unable to keep context properly with the Muslim’s words: “Then, are we not to die 59 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?” This is a rhetorical question, as this man in the given context has already been resurrected after his first death, and it’s of no point at all, except to the listener here and now.
But worse, is this, the Quraysh were attacked, Mecca was taken and all were converted to Islam. So there will be no one in the Hellfire, except those who had died in battle against the evil Muhammad and the Muslims who attacked them.
In other words, Muhammad’s promised disaster never came. Muhammad was such a false prophet, he had to create his own disaster in Mecca, showing that Muhammad is Allah and Allah is Muhammad, so Islam and the Koran are false.
As an interesting curiosity, the scholars of Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 37:50, present a story from the Israelites, which seems to be the basis for Muhammad’s story here. Obviously, Muhammad copying/pasting and changing a pre-existing story is not a revelation from Allah, but a fraud, showing Muhammad was a false prophet, Allah is false, and so Islam and Koran are false.
The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
