I did not make them witness to the creation of the heavens and the earth or to the creation of themselves, and I would not have taken the misguiders as assistants.

Notice the denials here. There’s no need for this, unless this passage is reliant upon the already accepted doctrine of the pagan Quraysh, as it is.

This is Muhammad obfuscating the origins of the universe and of life. For more, see: Where are we? and What are we? All this is nonsense by Muhammad.

As for “I would not have taken the misguiders as assistants”, this is later contradicted by Muhammad’s adding in the daughters of Allah, who already existed as idols, just like Allah is an idol:

53:19 So have you considered al-Lat and al-‘Uzza? 20 And Manat, the third – the other one?

Satan tempted Muhammad to utter the following line:

These are the exalted gharāniq, whose intercession is hoped for.

Do note that the Jews and Christians do not have Al Lat, Al Uzza and Manat as daughters of GOD, so obviously GOD isn’t Allah.

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
