Koran 17:66-67

17:66 It is your Lord who drives the ship for you through the sea that you may seek of His bounty.

Indeed, He is ever, to you, Merciful.

67 And when adversity touches you at sea, lost are [all] those you invoke except for Him.

But when He delivers you to the land, you turn away [from Him].

And ever is man ungrateful.

Koran 17:66-67

This passage exposes the fact that Allah is a wind and storm god, who “blows” sailing boats and ships around, at the whim of the merely human captain.

Weather 101: What Causes Wind?
What Causes the Wind?

Now you know that Allah isn’t the wind or storm god, but is merely an idol. It’s the sun that makes air move, making the wind.

The picture above shows a painting of the Battle of Lepanto, which was “a major defeat on the fleet of the Ottoman Empire in the Gulf of Patras.”

More than a military victory, Lepanto was a moral one. For decades, the Ottoman Turks had terrified Europe, and the victories of Suleiman the Magnificent caused Christian Europe serious concern. The defeat at Lepanto further exemplified the rapid deterioration of Ottoman might under Selim II, and Christians rejoiced at this setback for the Ottomans. The mystique of Ottoman power was tarnished significantly by this battle, and Christian Europe was heartened.

Historian Paul K. Davis, Battle of Lepanto

The results of the battle were a significant defeat for the Muslim Ottomans:

  • 40,000 dead;
  • 230 galleys sunk, burned, or captured;
  • 12,000 Christians freed – freed from SLAVERY, who were ENSLAVED by Muslims.

Obviously, of the 230 galleys sunk, burned, or captured, all crewed and captained by MUSLIMS, none were smart enough to pray to Allah for deliverance, right? Just a test, in which 40,000 Muslims and 230 galley captains failed.

This battle by Christians against Muslims shows that Allah is false, Islam is false, Muhammad is false and Koran is nonsense and lies.

Worse for Islam, no shipping company in the world has a Muslim captain or crew that relies upon Allah to deliver them from trouble. No insurance company offers lower rates for Muslim ships, captains or crew. Ships sink and have problems with no difference in crew, captain or ship. The profit motive of insurance companies would have discovered a difference if there was one.

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
