Koran 17:26-28

17:26 And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully.

27 Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.

28 And if you [must] turn away from the needy awaiting mercy from your Lord which you expect, then speak to them a gentle word.

Koran 17:26-28

Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.

Note that Muhammad is trying badly to describe charity here. He fails at this task. Consider giving “the” relative (when we have many relatives) “his” (not women apparently), and what is “right”? Is it an amount? A percentage? Can we substitute clothes, food and shelter instead of money?

Also, the poor? Does the Caliph, taxing millions of dollars, show that everyone is poor and thus needs a handout, making taxation – theft? And what about travellers, what “right” do they have? Obviously, Muhammad’s bandits knew, and they knew because they were informed by their Quraysh culture. In other words, Muhammad’s Islam is dependent upon the Quraysh culture, the polytheists, not Abrahamic traditions and religion. The Quraysh are all dead, long dead, and can no longer inform us of these traditions. Thus, the Koran is corrupt, thus Islam is corrupt, so Allah is imaginary, which means Muhammad was a false prophet.

Note at the end, a new category, the “needy” not present at the start, demonstrating Muhammad’s disorganised thinking on this topic, who only receives “a gentle word”, which is not described.

Let’s assume there’s some “needy” in front of you, and you won the lottery last week (Allah’s bounty, right?) and have 10 billion dollars. You’re carrying all this cash in the saddlebags of a dozen donkeys. What’s “Allah’s” advice? One dollar for the “needy”? 10? 100? 1000? Maybe it’s in a later verse of the Koran?

If you’re interested in what the Bible says about charity, see: What does the Bible say about generosity?

The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
