[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you.
If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment.
But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined – that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Koran 8:42
Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.
This verse is about Muhammad’s past. Not his present or future. All the people involved are long dead. No miracle is here, just a coincidence. This is simply Muhammad, pretending to be Allah, reminding Muhammad about his past. This is what the translators make clear, with: “[Remember]”.
Also, is that a criticism of Muhammad’s laziness in: “If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment.” by Allah (or Jibril for Allah)?
But, Infidel, we Muslims won by the will of Allah! No, nothing like that at all. Consider, that this is about a god that supposedly can say “DIE” and have people die on command, and instead, it’s the prelude to a battle, where the Muslims capture some servants and Muhammad interrogates them. See Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 8:42 for more:
Upon approaching Badr, the Messenger of Allah sent `Ali bin Abi Talib, Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas, Az-Zubayr bin Al-`Awwam and several other Companions to spy the pagans.
They captured two boys,…
…addressing to the boys He [Muhammad] said: “Tell me the news about Quraysh.”
Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 8:42
Scouting before battle and interrogation of captured servants is evidence that Allah has no omniscience, omnipotence, power, or benefit. Instead of being evidence for an imaginary Allah, this passage with its Tafsir shows that Allah is incoherent, made-up, fictional and false. This means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false. As such, the best replacement for this verse is: “”, the empty sentence.
