Koran 7:189-190

7:189 It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, “If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful.”

190 But when He gives them a good [child], they ascribe partners to Him concerning that which He has given them.

Exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.

Koran 7:189-190

Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.

Allah did not create Adam and Eve. For more, read the Story of Adam (and Eve).

We’re not created by Allah at all. For more, read What are we?

Also note the implicit pairing of male and female, husband and wife. This is incoherent with Islamic doctrine and Islam allowing one man to have up to four wives, and Muhammad, 11 or 13 or more wives. This is coherent with Judaism and Christianity for one man and one woman to form one marriage together, along with secular law and human rights.

Muhammad and imaginary Allah cannot correctly describe the process of sex, impregnation, pregnancy and birth: “when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy”. This lack of knowledge shows that Allah is the creation of Muhammad, ignorant, stupid, and misinformed, just like Muhammad.

Note the anonymous “they” referring to a married couple who are obviously polytheists belonging to the Quraysh, who speak as one, and who suspiciously, just like Muhammad, says: “we will surely be”. This is obviously in Muhammad’s time and place, his context, with the Quraysh and obviously referring to a now long-dead couple with their long-dead children, and their speech is created by Muhammad, pretending to be them. A blatant lie, intended to create hatred.

RIP Anonymous “they” and their unborn child, 1400 years ago in the Quraysh, an extinct tribe

Muhammad: “they ascribe partners to Him concerning that which He has given them.” That’s Muhammad again describing a married couple of the Quraysh, a tribe who already worshipped Allah and the three “cranes” or daughters of Allah, Al Lat, Al Uzza and Manat. It’s likely that this was a polytheistic custom to thank one of the three female goddesses for a good child being born and the child and mother not dying during birth.

Al Lat, Al Uzza, Lion, Allah (Al Lah, Baal and Sin) and Manat

Amusingly, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 7:189 has this:

This is why Allah mentioned that the sorcerer might be able with his trick to separate between a man and his wife…

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 7:189

Yet, separation and divorce happen. Sometimes a man dies. Sometimes a woman dies. Muhammad in Koran covers this, repeatedly, badly, with loads of abrogations and mistakes. Blaming a sorcerer for marriage difficulties is admitting that Allah has no power and that you suck at being a marriage partner.

Note how the scholars in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 7:189 seem confused:

…it refers to the Jews and Christians. Allah gave them children, and they turned them into Jews and Christians.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 7:189

This is obviously incorrect as neither Jews nor Christians assign partners to Allah at all. Instead, both Jews and Christians thank YHWH/God for the child being born alive. Check for yourself from Judaism 101: Birth and the First Month of Life:

After a child is born, the father is given the honor of an aliyah (an opportunity to bless the reading of the Torah) in synagogue at the next opportunity. At that time, a blessing is recited for the health of the mother and the child.

Judaism 101: Birth and the First Month of Life

Note that the Jews never ascribe partners to YHWH at all, as this is polytheism. Nor do they worship the gods of stone-worshippers like Muhammad, as that’s polytheism and evil. Similarly for the Christians, they do not ascribe partners to God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, and they do not worship the gods of stone-worshippers like Muhammad, as that’s polytheism and evil. For more about Christian Christening (infant baptism), see: What Is Christening?

Muhammad was ranting about the polytheists of the Quraysh, showing his intolerance of people of his own tribe in his own religion which he is trying to convert from polytheism to monotheism, by discarding the gods that are imaginary, without realising that Allah is also imaginary, and should be discarded. As such, the best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
