Koran 2:258

Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord [merely] because Allah had given him kingship?

When Abraham said, “My Lord is the one who gives life and causes death,”

he said, “I give life and cause death.”

Abraham said, “Indeed, Allah brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up from the west.”

So the disbeliever was overwhelmed [by astonishment], and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Koran 2:258

The first mistake by Muhammad: “the one”. What perfect god would forget the name of this famous king who “Allah had given him kingship”? Thus you know immediately that this verse is from Muhammad, not from the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an of perfect Allah.

Muhammad makes a series of mistakes next: “his Lord” and “My Lord”. This story is about two men arguing about the same god, not two different gods as Muhammad has it. Basically, Muhammad is admitting that Allah is not the god that’s mentioned in the story and so through his poor understanding of the legend gets it all wrong.

As for the story, Muhammad doesn’t get this story from Allah, but it’s summarised very badly from Genesis Rabbah 38:13, where the “one” and the “king” are identified as “Nimrod“.

Genesis Rabbah 38:13

Note that Nimrod causes death through his own might and his soldiers might, his kingship from “Allah” in the story. Allah can’t prevent these deaths and so this shows that Allah is weaker than Nimrod and his merely human soldiers and their primitive weapons. Abraham essentially agrees that Allah can’t prevent Nimrod from causing death. As for giving life, neither Allah nor Nimrod does that, except that Nimrod, by forgiving an execution, gives life instead of death, Nimrod’s mercy. Allah can’t do that either. Thus Nimrod defeats Allah and Abraham realises this.

But, Infidel, Muhammad badly described this story! Oh, so it’s not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah, it’s from Muhammad, from earlier legends, from Genesis Rabbah, 38:13. Thus falsifying Allah. For more about Abraham in Genesis Rabbah, see Genesis Rabbah 38:13.

But, but, Infidel, it’s Allah that moves the Sun from East! Except that it’s the Earth that rotates in the steady light of the Sun that creates the APPARENT movement of the Sun in the sky. Thus Allah is misinformed about his creation and the movements of his hands moving the Sun. Thus Allah is incoherent and false.

But, but, but, Infidel, it’s Allah that makes the Moon orbit the Earth and makes both orbit the Sun! Except that this is the constant movement of the bodies orbiting the Sun. A body set in motion remains in motion – Newton’s laws of motion.

But, but, but, but, Infidel, it’s Allah that set all the planets, moons, dwarf planets, comets and meteors in motion at the start of the universe! Except the Solar System formed naturally billions of years after the start of the universe. Thus again, Allah is proven false.

But, but, but, but, but, Infidel, Allah made Earth later, while making the Heavens earlier! Except now you disagree with Allah over the creation order, so you know better than Allah, making Allah and you incoherent and thus Allah is false.

So now you know the best replacement for this verse is: “”, the empty sentence.
