2:120 And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion.
Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.”
If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.
121 Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital.
They [are the ones who] believe in it.
And whoever disbelieves in it – it is they who are the losers.
Koran 2:120-121
Muhammad Allah commands Muhammad to: “Say” or “Recite”. This means that this passage is addressed to Muhammad, not to all people. Thus, this passage can’t be in the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. As it is addressed to Muhammad, in his time and place, his context, this also means that this passage is locked to Muhammad’s context and can’t be in the context-free, perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah with all its perfect words. Thus, this passage is part of Muhammad’s recitation, Muhammad’s Koran, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are incoherent and false, meaning Allah is incoherent, imaginary, fictional, and false.
Muhammad spoke about Allah in the third person. This means this passage is not the perfect words of the perfect Qur’an from perfect Allah. Thus, Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, which means Islamic doctrine and Islam are nonsensical and false.
Note Muhammad’s incoherence here. Muhammad thought the Jews and the Christians follow the same religion, but they’re two different religions, Judaism and Christianity, Christianity is essentially a reformation of Judaism to make it easier to follow.
Muhammad commands himself to: “Say,…”. Yet, Muhammad doesn’t actually say this. Muhammad is disobeying Muhammad.
Note the lie of Muhammad: “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.” Recall that Muhammad wasn’t guided to show the correct description of the Jews and the Christians, thus no guidance from Allah. Note that Muhammad did not receive knowledge from Allah. Muhammad is badly expressing his little knowledge, not divine perfect knowledge from an omniscient real god, thus Allah is Muhammad, and false.
Note Muhammad’s incoherence: “Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital.” But the Jews recite Torah and the Christians usually do not recite their Bible, but their Bible contains both. The “Book” is different for both and the behaviours about the “Book” differ but are usually in accord with their books.
Note the incoherence of Muhammad: “They [are the ones who] believe in it.” Again, the Jews and Christians have different books, the Torah and Bible, but Jews believe in YHWH and Christians believe in God and Jesus and the Holy Ghost. Neither believe in their books, but in their gods, which are the same, YHWH/GOD.
Interestingly, the scholars differ over “They [are the ones who] believe in it.”, in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:120, with:
They are the Jews and Christians.
They are the Companions of the Messenger of Allah.
The right Tilawah is allowing what it makes lawful, prohibiting what it makes unlawful, reciting it as it was revealed by Allah, not changing the words from their places, and not interpreting it with other than its actual interpretation.
They make lawful what it allows and they prohibit what it makes unlawful, and they do not alter its wordings.
They are those who when they recite an Ayah that mentions mercy, they ask Allah for it, and when they recite an Ayah that mentions torment, they seek refuge with Allah from it. This meaning was attributed to the Prophet, for when he used to recite an Ayah of mercy, he invoked Allah for mercy, and when he recited an Ayah of torment, he sought refuge from it with Allah.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:120
Obviously, the incoherence of the scholars reflects the incoherence of Muhammad here, recall that “We” never gave the “Book” to anyone at all, despite Muhammad’s lie: “Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital.” Recall, that the Torah and Bible are written by humans, and weren’t given by “We”, and if we assume that “We” is the demon Jibril, the book in the dark cave remains there, rejected by Muhammad and lost forever in the mud.
There’s also more nonsense in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 2:120 about Muhammad being in the Torah and Bible, when there’s no mention of Muhammad at all, except generically as a false prophet, to be tested and discarded.
Note Muhammad’s condemnation of himself and all Muslims: “And whoever disbelieves in it – it is they who are the losers.” Muhammad forgot to change the “it” to refer to the Koran, and instead refers to the imaginary Book, which is the Torah and Bible of the Jews and Christians. And of course, Muhammad didn’t know that the Koran would be created by his companions after his death and didn’t realise that his verses would show Muhammad’s incoherent nonsense. Based on the performance of Jewish and Christian societies compared to Islamic societies, we clearly see that Islamic societies are the losers here, as Muhammad shows.
The best replacement for this passage is: “”, the empty sentence.
