Or do you intend to ask your Messenger as Moses was asked before?
And whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
Koran 2:108
Muhammad asks a rhetorical question which immediately shows that the Koran is local to Muhammad. Muhammad never expected to die. Muhammad’s talking about his current time and place, his context, and worse, he’s talking instead of Allah. Muhammad has completely forgotten that he is supposed to have a god called “Allah” on his side. Muhammad is whining about his failure to convince people he’s their messenger when quite obviously he doesn’t have a book, is speaking about himself, and isn’t from the people he’s supposedly being a messenger to, from imaginary Allah who isn’t their god.
Muhammad doesn’t even realise that if Moses existed, he died long ago, and is unable to answer questions for the Jews. Also, Moses did answer questions from his followers, the Hebrews. For example, questions in Exodus 14:10-12 and answers in Exodus 14:13-14. See NIV Exodus 14 for the full questions and answers.
Far worse, Muhammad isn’t a messenger for the Jews or the Christians, by the standards of the Jews and Christians. At best for Muhammad, Muhammad is the false messenger of false Allah to his own people, the outcast people from Muhammad’s tribe, the pagan polytheist Arabs converted to false Islam by Muhammad’s deceit and lies.
And note, Muhammad’s inability to answer quite reasonable questions or even any questions. Obviously, Muhammad was unable to answer and is unassisted by a god, and shows his own stupidity. Muhammad is demanding unquestioning obedience from everyone, which shows immediately he’s not confident, and is not in touch with a confident divine being full of wisdom, powered by omniscience and orthogonal with time. In short, Muhammad shows Allah is false, imaginary, and fictional, and that shows Muhammad is a liar and a deceiver. The best replacement for this verse is: “” the empty sentence.
